Underground comedian and all-around malcontent T.G. Fleming has finally
gathered together his greatest hits to form the hilarious collection
"Dead Leprechaun in a Tire-Swing." Filled with the fierce social
commentary, biting sexual satire, strange stories, and bizarre
ruminations that Fleming is known (and often reviled) for, "Dead
Leprechaun in a Tire-Swing" will spice up any given bowel movement or
trip to the beach!

Damm! And here I thought that you were going to refer to the very
*on-topic* and pricelessly ironic fact that Harlan's illustrated
screenplay for _I, Robot_ is being included (as a DVD sized paperback
but, other than the size, as complete as the trade paperback edition)
with the DVD release of the movie in one collector's package by
Costco.

Nobody who may know has told me how this came around, whether as a
result of fate playing with hooman cluelesness or, as one would rather
like to think, because of some unknown and unsung Ellison ally imbeded
somewhere deep in the Costco head marketing department.

Either way, it is priceless. I started a gag thread about Harlan
selling out to Costco in another ng where Harlan is admired and my
respect for him is well known, so the joke would be taken exactly at
its worth. Truth is, happenings like this almost make believe in
Santa.

Cheers,

Jaime

At first, I was almost certain this was a hoax, but apparently it's for
real! I wish we had a Costco somewhere near here, since from what I've
read, their version is the only one with the Ellison screenplay, right?

Yup. Seems to be a Costco only deal, I'm afraid (only at Costco...!).
I know there's Costco on-line also, but I don't know whether they
offer the same package.

The screenplay on the Costco package is DVD-resized, but you can buy
the trade paperback on its own at a number of places and also online
(Amazon, Halfcom, eBay... when I got mine some months back, Overstock
seemed to be offering the best deal).

Cheers,

Jaime
